one of the standard things i do with most images especially portraits, is to run what i understand to be called "librodo sharpening" which, if you don't already know, consists of 3 passes of usm with these settings:

18,40,0
150,.3,0
edit/fade usm 100% darken
150,.3,0
edit/fade usm 50% lighten

my problem is, i tried to create an action and it seems when i run that action the sharpening seems MUCH heavier than when i do it all myself. anyone know why this might be happening?

I just tested this...1st manual then using an action. The results look identical on my system. The only difference is that I am using CS4.
