Got a nice example (made in Japan stamped) from eBay, found a cheap adaptor too.

Using it on my E-510, seems to work well manually focusing using live view at 7x

Most of the lenses that I use are older manual Nikon lenses. I like the quality of construction and the old school feel of them. For a while, until everyone bought DSLR's and found out that they could use old glass, they were pretty cheap on the used market. Now they are beginning to get scarce and pricey because of the high demand and limited supply.
You can get great shots with your manual lenses if you set the diopter correctly in your viewfinder, and focus carefully. Almost all of my bird shots are done with an old 300mm f4.5 manual lens.

Having Liveview is a bit of a Godsend. Manual focus on a digital SLR body is hard as the viewfinders are a lot smaller than 35mms.
