And I just returned home to Arlington, VA, after being snowed out for the last few days. My car got plowed in (although not as badly as in your picture) and I had to dig it out.... with a dinner plate! (We live in a townhouse community, and we never have to shovel ANYthing.... We are spoiled!) |

Yeah, this is the pile of snow the plows created. We'd all be in trouble if we really got this much snow!!

I'm staying in an apartment in Manassas for a temporary work assignment. I saw people digging with dust pans, spatulas, dinner plates... all kinds of things!
I like your 'View from Seat 6A, 33,000 ft' photo! We live in Colorado and I recognized it during the voting, before we saw your comment about the Colorado location!

Looks v-e-r-y familiar! We live just below Manassas, in Culpeper, and couldn't even get out of our driveway until Tuesday; my husband works in Manassas. Hope this is it for the snow around here!

I live in Annandale, VA, just around the corner. Below is my favorite photo from the snow storm :)

That police car looks like a photo I took of my neighbors Chevy Lumina in the snow, all covered in snow barely able to find it and only a small area of the fender actually visable.
I'm in Altoona, PA (Cental Pennsylvania) we got 17 inches of snow here but I have heard that about 40 miles southwest of me got close to 40 inches. The snow banks here are about 4 to 5 feet high in most places.
I wonder if it will all be gone by the first day of spring?

Didn't realize there was so many Virginia people. I'm in Williamsburg, but we didn't get snow until this afternoon -- only about 4"

An inconvenience of the Northern Hemisphere this time of year. And probably the South Pole and the odd mountain any time of year.

At least once a month I feel compelled to resurrect an innocuous thread from way way back and see how long it takes for people to notice. You win the "Nothing Gets By Me" award this month. ;-) |

The grand prize is 30" of snow. You should have already received it by now. |
