I used to be able to go to the web....copy a logo...picture or whatever...go to PS ...NEW...and then paste in the object. Now I can't. Paste isn't an option. What happened?

Well, if you're trying it on this site, you're probably picking up the pixel that now covers each image. Or is it happening everywhere? |

If it's not what citymars said (this site one pixel overlay annoyance) reboot and try again. It's happened to me on occasion. |

No...I know about this site....it is everywhere....I'm trying to copy and paste the word Mardi Gras into some parade pics and I can't do it. I have to save the file and open in PS.

Have you tried to create a new layer and then select it before trying to paste? |

It's text? I think you have to first select the text tool and then click onto an existing document (get into edit text mode) and then paste. If it's just the word "Mardi Gras" I think it would take a LOT less time to just type it at this point. ;-) |

It's not just text..it's a generic purple, green and gold Mardi Gras Logo. I used to be able to copy and then go to PS and click new...preset would come up and default was "clipboard". It would make a canvas the size of my clipboard object. I would then paste in. Now "clipboard" is grayed out not matter what I copy and paste.

And you already rebooted? As I said, I have had this problem before - it was always a resource issue and rebooting took care of it. Hurry and reboot before someone posts that you should just buy a mac. :P |

Is paste working in other apps, notepad etc, I remember years ago there was a virus that would cause the problem you're having, paste wouldn't work with anything. Just a thought. |
