Hi All,

I have been asked to snap at a creche and need to get CRB certified - how do I for about this ?

I had one years ago when i taught some Photoshop classes at a mental health hospital. You need to send off for a form from them. Can take a while to go through though. Costs about £40ish i think and lasts for three years or until you change job then you have to get another one. Here you go.

Tony, the creche will have to apply for one for you. At the moment CRB checks are not transferable between employers/organisations (my daughter currently has four valid ones!)although there is something in the pipeline to allow one to 'follow' you, so to speak.

It would be worth checking what type of CRB check is required, some places will want an enhanced check while others are OK with a standard one.

I think it costs about 15 quid or so.
