Sick and tired of their bullsh!t. Once again I was stupid to buy a movie for my son that claimed to have the Blu-ray, DVD and Digital copy inside. I have several Disney movies like that, anyway long story short in order to get the digital copy I have to buy a Playstation 3 AAAAANNNND apparently have a fricken Playstation Network account! Had a similar experience with the last Batman blu-ray where they wanted me to PAY EXTRA to download the digital copy where pretty much everyone else that says digital copy included means its in the fricken case and its INCLUDED in the price you paid for the dam thing to start with!

Sony is really bad with alot of things. They have their own little world and seem to refuse to become compatable with the rest. I will not be buying anymore Sony Products apart from support items I need for the Sony Products I still own. Batteries for my Video Cameras or replacement parts etc. |

if they are not delivering what they promise, could someone (or you in this case) sue them.
if some company sells a product saying that it is what they are selling and give customer less, isn't it a fraud.
just wondering. |

Suing Sony would be like Suing the Government. They have too much money and too many highball lawyers. For what the cost of a digital copy of a movie is vs what you would spend on legal fee's it is definately not worth trying.

i understood your point about suing them from individual person's POV, but was wondering if they are selling like this , it is large scale fraud. Is there any organization or something that take care that this type of things do not happen.

they would be able to get away with it as the digital copy is on the blu-ray and avaliable if you have the playstation3 and their network BS... so yea no way of suing them.

Well there is such a thing as a class-action suit, but who knows how one goes about it.
As for Sony, I'm unhappy with them because only the early models of PlayStation 3 were backwards compatible. The current models do not play Playstation 2 games. They also removed the memory card slots from the later models, so now to upload certain files requires purchasing an extra piece of hardware, or so I understand.

Well I for one am NOT buying anything that has that brand on it any longer, too many sneaky marketing tactics and general overpriced bullshit.

You would need to find a lawyer who is willing to spend a load of cash finding people who are willing to join the suit. In a case like that it would probably be a very greedy lawyer who would want to pocket a pile of the settlement if he were lucky enough to beat Sony's Dream Team of Corp Lawyers and then win an appeal or two after the fact.

Not entirely true. If the box is improperly marked and the fraud is real, it could be as simple as contacting your state Attorney General.

And yet these threads that are VERY adamant about how much some of us hate Sony keep cropping up.
They got me good, add me to the list of people who will never again buy anything Sony.

That's part of the problem. Like GM, they're big enough that they can blow off the small guy on a regular basis 'cause one person isn't going to make a difference.
As shown by the demise of some of their divisions that were legendary, i.e. Pontiac and Oldsmobile, you can only do that for so long before it comes back and bites you.
Like Sony, GM chased me away with that attitude.
The free enterprise system does work. And if enough disgruntled people take their money elsewhere, these giants that think they're invincible will either change, or die.
