I'd be interested. Hopefully I can muster more time than I did for my failed efforts at the Jan. Portrait challenge I've been horribly absent from... but I have more time to edit photos than to take them, so this might work out better. |

Throughout the first three weeks of February the participants will post their PP'd originals along with the original and their PP process in the thread.
At the beginning of the last week, I'll post a call for nominations. I'll keep track of the votes and award the winner with a crafty new virtual medal.
Thoughts?
Oh, and I'm not so good at crafty virtual stuff so ideas for an award are appreciated. |
Here's how it gonna work again... |

I'll try...can someone tell me how to copy my screens (computer) so that I can post them in the tread for the step by step stuff...I've been wanting to learn how to do that...so this sounds like just as good as any time to do that.... |

To capture your screen, press the Print Screen key. It may be abbreviated depending upon your keyboard layout, so it might say PrtSc or PrtScn or something like that. Then open a new file in your choice of image program (everything from Paint to photoshop works fine) and then either use the hotkey (CTRL+V) or manually choose it from the edit menu. After you have it pasted, you can easily draw all over it with a brush and your paint color of choice in order to draw attention to certain aspects (IE, buttons, settings blah blah blah)
These are instructions for a windows machine; I've no clue for Mac.
So, I guess I sorta misunderstood. Are we not all using the same photo? How would these be judged if we're all using different photos? |

In the earlier version of PP Challenge, one original was picked each week and everyone posted their version of the same picture. |

My original plan was to take all submitted originals and have nominations for best PP at the end of the month.
Maybe weekly is a better idea. It would certainly be faster paced. I would still, however, like to start with a couple of originals (one portrait, and one landscape, for example) for variety and take nominations for the best overall PP of each picture all day Saturday and Sunday, announcing the winners on Monday morning along with the next week's originals.

I would like to participate. Unexpected projects earlier this month have been completed and I am excited to do something fun.

Um, did I miss the call for originals? If I did, could someone point me to the place to send them along?
