I guess there were 8 people (or is it 13 people) who think that Duckies don't count as subject in real photos. I thought this was underrated with it's final score but 8 1's and 5 2's clearly indicates a lack of appreciation for Ducky Photos.

I still enjoy seeing them and think it's a shame Quackers didn't get a new PB from this challenge.

Do you vote down for subject material?

I would be willing to bet that the real culprits in this photo are the water drops, not the ducks...

I definitely vote down for subject matter. It's such an important part of the image that I don't think I could take it out of my consideration.

You seem unhappy with your final score--but isn't this your fifth-highest-scoring image to date? That seems pretty good to me.

It wasn't the OP's entry. It was Quackers. And I agree with Bugzeye's assessment.

There is no getting away from votes being affected by subject matter - both positive and negative - nor should there be. We've all probably been the "victims" as well as the beneficiaries. If you care about your score, shoot popular subjects. If you don't care, shoot what you like. If the two are the same, well then your results are an isolated reflection of your skillz. :-)

Ask me about the Woody haters. ;-)

i agree with Art, see my photograph, macro photography does not ike to many people, I though I had posted a photo more than decent, perhaps presumptuously, but I have received poor grades.

if you check the votes on the entries in this challenge right from those who ribboned to the end , the one to five voters appear to have been out in full force!

Yes, I noticed that, too.

blah blah blah... honestly, if I asked that question with every image, I would have to slit my throat.
