Just a quick message, we are currently packing for our flight to Christchurch this afternoon!

Thanks to Karin, Paul and David for a lovely GTG and for the photos you have already posted! I think it might be a few weeks before we get chance to edit ours!

Looking forward to getting to New Zealand but not looking forward to the colder weather!

It was a fun time. Thanks for visiting and organising the GTG. I hope we didn't wear you out too much. :) Some good shots there Karin - you are very quick on the upload. It will probably take me a few weeks just to get them off the camera. :)

I'm still in. Will be back in Auckland with the British tourists probably sometime before lunch. Suggestions for time and place to meet up?

We should meet someone central in town like near Britomart or the Viaduct perhaps? As for time it depends when you think you'll be there with the VIP guests? If it's close to lunchtime then I'll probably do a half days work (I start at 6:30 so that only fills my day up until 10:30) first.

Have we worked out any sort of game plan for the day or just winging it as we go? Meeting around Britomart sounds good.

I think it's best to wing it - there are plenty of directions we could head off in. A lot will depend on the weather, our interests, and what DPC challenges I can shoe-horn an entry into that day ;)

You know Britomart well, what's a good meeting spot around there?

Probably just inside on the street level. There is quite a large seating area there.

The plan for the 25th is to meet at Britomart at 11am. There is a seating area just inside (at the Downtown mall end). There isn't a plan for the day as such but there are heaps of options from there: The Viaduct, The Port, The city, Albert Park. If we want to drive there is also a lot to do but we'll sort that out on the day.

I bailed on them too :( But here's a few from their visit to the Coromandel Peninsula with me. Took them out on a boat ride round the coast. I think they enjoyed themselves.... ;)

Well, 2 and a half weeks later I have finally got my broadband back!! Some hugh c*ck up with my phoneline due to the snow!!

Pictures etc are appearing in our blog slowly! You can check it out here, videos of New Years Eve are going up today :)

Will post GTG photos here shortly :)
