I would say the first two could be called "Nostalgia", but then the third one wouldn't fit in.

On second thought... considering the ban on the old incandescent lights, it could soon be considered nostalgic.

alssooo need help with C.V. (list of education / other things done...)

I'm been in an art show, had my pictures on display at numerous restaurants, been in a book, and on a magazine cover...

am I supposed to include anything else in there? (i.e. blue ribbons? hahahha, but seriously, would I put that in there???)

what I'm also after is teh proper form to say these things... anyone know any places to look at samples?

thanks!

One place to look would be the local bookstores. Books of an artist's work usually include a bio.

How about books you own? Any book really, usually hard cover, has a bio of the author.

Or magazines featuring someone usually has a bio to introduce the article or body of work.

hmmm... but is there a particular way to say the stuff you have done when talking about art work and photography?

is it just a list of dates and what you did?

You could say something like -- I've had my work featured in art shows and hanging in restaurants . I've also been published in magazines/newspapers such as (name them) and have had my work featured in a book . This may be more cover letter stuff but on your CV you could have a publications section and even a previous exhibits section (your work hanging in restaurants I think could go here as well as the formal art shows).

If you check out the websites of other photogs, they often have a bio section which says what they did:

Many of your images are related to technology:

Technicism - an over reliance or overconfidence in technology as a benefactor of society.
I also thought of the "urban" slant... so urban technicism???

could I say my photos are a mix of "urban nostalgia" and __________ ?

the blank line is for what I would call my HDR landscape shots... what genre are they?

another quickie.. for the C.V.

is it better to write it out like a couple sentences, or to make a list (most recent first) with little bullets

I tend to use both. Use bullets where a list is suitable, e.g:

My work has been featured in the following publications:

Magazine X
Website Y
Newspaper W

Or sentences where they are more suitable:

I was commissioned by the institute of blah to produce x photos based on a theme of blah. This involved ...

At least, that is how I go about writing my CV anyway.

Edit to point out my CV is for my IT career and not photography, though hopefully one day it will be :)
