Around $900-$1000/ £500-£600 for the Lumix and the Olympus at the moment. I'd love one. Better get saving i think. (although, saying that, i did have a Sigma DP1 until i sold it just before xmas. In some ways it was wonderful but i also found it quite annoying and didn't use it as much as i thought i would.)

I doubt with the current generation of LCD's that it could ever truly compare to actually looking at the scene you are about to shoot. Still, it would be nice to have something pocket sized that has similar performance characteristics to an SLR!

I've been paying attention to this new class of camera. It's a growing segment. Many serious shooters will want something like this, at least as a secondary camera. I also think every major maker will be jumping on the bandwagon soon. Unfortunately, it means more competing standards. There's no way companies like Canon and Nikon would follow the lead of Olympus and Panasonic by using the Micro 4/3 system.

Thank god... At least you can use an adapter to bolt on KILLER glass if you want.. That makes it great..

I'll definitely wait for the big two to enter the fray, and give it a generation to kill a few bugs, then I'm in like sin. EVIL ehh?

Some of those look great for a second body and when you need something that looks less "profession" (whatever that means) but I just prefer the size of the SLR's for general unrestricted stuff... I add a grip to them all anyway.

I think the Samsung NX10 will sell for about $700 w/ kit lens. (And it takes Pentax K-mount lenses.)

No doubt that those won't carry the "cred" that a DSLR brings.. At least not for a while, until every paparazzi buys one.. (you know they're all over this.)

Fuji is coming out with a u4/3rds camera in the next few months, probably with an EXR sensor.
Olympus u4/3rds lens roadmap (thru 2011)

There will never(yes I did say never James Bond) be one of these cameras that will keep up with the demand of the Pro grade cameras.

Never! I agree. Unless they get full frame sensors in these then maybe some outdoor photographers may use them, but then again...
