I've recently gotten into the wonderfully slow world of digital video processing and was wondering if anyone knew what the best tools for screen capture and edit are. I'm currently using "ScreenFlow" and loving it. It records my desktop at full-resolution with tons of exporting settings and it runs super fast!
I was very happy that, but when I started looking into video editing software, I became very discouraged. I have a PowerPC Mac G4. Here are my results...
1. Adobe Premiere - Requires an Intel Mac, I Don't Have One
2. iMovie - Crashes in the middle of editing, renders video in very low quality, incredibly slow...
3. Fincal Cut - Hate the interface, takes a million years to preview your video. (i.e you gotta wait hours only to fidn out your audio track is off and do it again.)
Does anyone know of any easy to use, Mac video editing software that runs quickly enough so that I don't have to spend all night waiting just to find out a part of my video doesn't work? I've spent all afternoon trying different video editing software and it's srsly driving me nuts! Does any video editing software work??? Jeez!

| You might see if you can track down an older version of Premiere -- I'm using (I think) Version 5 on a G3 laptop, though mainly to edit audio tracks, not video. |

I use Pinnacle. I like it. Just like most softwares out there, it has its bugs, but it does the job. I don't like their tease-ware design though. |
