Hi guys I use " paint.net" to process my photos ok.
up there on the top bar is "EFFECTS" clickingon this moving to Photo there are several actions ie sharpen and also " Soften Portrait" is this last action legal in basic.ta thanks

Nick my understanding of the basic rule is that as long as it effects the whole image & not just a portion of it, you should be okay.

I thought it was the case deing grouped with the sharpening tool, It has I think a nice effect thanks
