Hi, I know this has been covered before, but I cant find it in the forums, If I have a shot for the textures challenge, can I submit it for the 48 hour speed challenge as well?

wait a sec, nevermind, I took the textures challenge outside of the speed challenge dates. Sorry. But out of curiousity, can I do that? I can easily recreate the shot.

you can not submit the same shot for different challenges.
Edit: You could recreate it, legally, but I would not recommend it.

You can submit any taken with the guidelines of the rules. Nothing says you can't submit the same photo but both pictures might cancel each others' score out if it's exactly the same. |

The rules do say that you cannot submit the same photo in two challenges. "A photograph may only be used in one challenge, even if it is cropped or altered differently to fit another challenge. Duplicate photos will be disqualified."
You can recreate a shot, but you cannot submit the same shot to two challenges.

not the SAME photo, but "the same." They must be 2 different photos, even if exactly the same setup, etc (EXIF data).

This is absolutely correct. I once saw the "same" photo in two concurrent challenges, and requested dq review. Turned out it was consecutive shots of the same composition. That was legal.
