he didnt fry it. the flash shut itself off.
thermal protection. i bet it works fine after a few minutes to cool down.
he shot 13 strikes on full power. and states the manual suggests no more than 15 consecutive shots to avoid over heating.

Although it should be noted that you can turn off the shutdown and then fry your strobe if you really feel like it. It recharges pretty fast with Nimh's too.
Your hat will disappear if you clear your cache. |

| Well the point was, to those who have little understanding of a dry sense of humour, to bring up these new NiZn batteries rather than to discuss the point of burning your strobe out which you can do with a Turbo or NiMh anyway... sorry for being too obtuse for you to understand. |

Nah, not obtuse... but I really can't say you're acute either, you might get the wrong idea. I just think you're right.

| I'd like to see how these stack up to the Sanyo Eneloops as far as longevity and idle discharge rate goes. I heard engadget is doing a comparison but they're still in the testing phase. |

i know dry. and i know funny. but to lable this as any sort of humor is sort of - well umm - a stretch - to say the least.
