With a child, you have to have fast reflexes and always be ready to snap your body 180 degrees and use you back as a shield. And that is with no water!!! Child in water, what could happen???

Now for your stress you should take pictures of the child and photoshop him getting hit with water in many ways...like in front of a tank that is shooting a stream of water at him from the main turret, or the 20 guys on the roof of the building dropping water on "HIM"... or him washing your camera in the sink with the word blurb "I'll get the salt out". Make fun of it because that is all you can do.

And do not take your camera near water unless you are by yourself!
(I have a 5 and 10 year old)

You have no idea how scared I was with these shots!!!

WATER GUN??? UHMMM

As bad as it can get! and the only kid involved was me acting like a kid

Because that's where the action was, of course! :-)

Sounds perfectly logical to me! :-D

sorry to say but i'd say who is the photographer who takes his expensive camera on family outings kneedeep into seawater?

I thought it was more like: what photographer WOULDN'T take his expensive camera on a family outing kneedeep into seater? Been there, done that, raised kids smart enough to know I'd always have a camera with me (although they're only 10 and 14, so there's still time to get stupid))

I agree that he should pay half the cost. I also think donny and marie is way too mean-- how about boy george?

*snorting in disgust* Amateurs! It should be Miley Cyrus, Justin Beaver and the Jonas Brothers - all at the same time!

Duct tape him to the ceiling and take pictures of him being used as a piñata by the grandkids.

No, strip his clothes off first, then hog-tie him with duct tape, suspend him from the ceiling and use him as a pinata while playing the Macarena and doing the chicken dance in between swats at him. That oughta smarten him up! :-)

I'd say love him like this is the last time you will see and talk to him....think about it.

well I must add that he has offered to pay the excess on the insurance, or 1/2 th3 repair bill as the INsce co has waived the excess.
He has been forgiven and I am waiting for the call that the camera is fixed. Kim said that he well try for thursday.

I think that its 1/2 my fault for doing it stupid as well

PS> The water was only over my feet any way but it only takes 1 drop to bugger a camera

I've had the same problem for 39 years...I've moved house six times, yet he still finds me!

I'm afraid you have a lifetime of him, once an idiot always a genius:))

Hope the camera is okay and not too expensive.

Just had a call form Kim at phototronic they have stripped and cleaned the camera ditto the lens sensor clean all up! $195.00 NZD. hows that for value ? Great service as well> So if you are ever vacationing down here and need the camera fixed/service you know where to go.

*snorts back in even greater disgust* I think a judicious application of the genera "Deathcore" (most god-aweful thing I've ever heard..)

That's great! It will probably be better than it was, since it's now serviced and lubed. That was quick service too. That could have been a lot more expensive.
