Paraskevidekatriaphobics ΓΆ€” people afflicted with a morbid, irrational fear of Friday the 13th.
Do you have this superstition outside of the USA?
Today is my birthday. :) I'm really older then dirt now. |

The idea that Friday the 13th is unlucky is known here (UK) too but I don't know the origin...
Gonna go look it up.

Actually going to a Friday the 13th Party toight. It starts at 6:13 and ends at 9:13...we will be breaking mirrors and walking under ladders....
Incidently, my wife's birthday is September 13, my daughter's is July 13 (born of Friday) and we were married on June 13 (Friday)
Just a normal day around here

I noticed when I flew back from Dublin the other week that there is no row of seats numbered 13. Dont know if this is common but its the first time I have noticed this only because I was in row 14.

| Most hotels don't have a 13th floor. Here in San Francisco, there's no 13th Avenue. They named it Funston Ave instead. |

While watching my national cricket team in action today, one of the commentators mentioned a player (who played a long time ago) who refused to get out of bed on Friday the 13th. I don't think he was unique either.
My team won, so this Friday 13th treated me okay.

Well up till last summer we had a black cat, named Majic, who unfortunately had to be put to sleep

I was hoping I would go into labor today! Had a false contraction and pain!!! Darnit I want to have this baby on a lucky day!

| When I was a kid, we would get together with my Mom's Friend's families on Friday the 13th and have what we called a 'Knothead Party'. I introduced my daughters to the idea. I think they just like it because they get to drink soda and eat chips and dip. |

In my office building there is no 13th floor....and I wonder if the people who work on "14" feel better because their floor has been mislabeled.
As for me, I don't find 13 to be unlucky - have worn jersey #13 my whole life in every sport/event, etc. |
