Trying to learn how should I use more effectively a flash that I borrowed, I came up with this and found it so interesting that I wanted to share with you.

interesting, didn't read the interview but his pictures remind me of the style of Jennifer ( njsabs). I am assuming he is shooting digital and if so I am not sure I like the addition of grain/noise in every shot. I am strictly an amature but it does not look like film grain, looks like grain for the sake of grain.

btw, i make the remark about Jennifer as she shot my nieces wedding:

From the interview:
"sufficient light means enough illumination to get a photograph without too much subject movement. This could be 1/15th sec, f1.2, 3200 ISO for static subjects, or 1/50th sec, f1.2, 3200 ISO for slightly moving subjects. However, the light needs to be good as well."

He's one of "the best of the best" in the *world* in the PJ style of wedding photography. Yes, he's shooting digital, and in almost all cases available light. If there's grain, it's probably because his ISO is sky high, even with a fast lens.

Wow. If I were ever to be a wedding photographer, I'd want to be that kind of wedding photographer. You'd really need to know your clients fairly well - or at least make sure they know your style first!
