Did get up to a 6 at one point but falling rapidly now.
Just had my first run through the images...

You have given an average score of 5.4711.
That score will change when i go through them a second time. Some good stuff there but it does show how incredibly hard good candid photography is (I took hundreds over christmas but literally ended up with two i thought it worthwhile to enter and i was umming and ahhing over them). To my eyes there are a few DNMC there and i think i'll score harsher than usual this challenge as i'm a christmas grinch. I'll make sure i leave comments for those i vote low for DNMC though.

what makes a good candid? I tried really hard to pick an interesting picture but I guess you all don't see it that way.
(the score does appears to be climbing again - albeit so slightly).

We don't actually see the individual votes. I just do the math, but someone has created an excel spreadsheet that will do the calculations for you. Maybe someone will post it here.

Okay I just went through them to have a look at them.
And WOWWWWWW, some people have nailed it on the head, some truly excellent shots in this batch.
I can see why mine has a low score (still shouldn't be that low)
but some of you blew me away!!! |
