Mac OS... Hmm.. Try this: (it's a good source, no idea how well this works..)
//www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk
For future PC users who may see this, here is a really good solution.
DiskDigger //dmitrybrant.com/diskdigger
This will even recover cards that have been formatted and the FAT is lost.

ok. just seen it :) thx mate. I downloaded the Testdisk for Mac os x intel and than when i open the folder i picked photorec. Than this old school (kindof DOS) window opens that askes me to pick between
Select a media (use Arrow keys, then press Enter):
Disk disk1 - 18 MB / 18 MiB (RO)
Disk disk2 - 15 MB / 14 MiB (RO)
Disk disk3 - 4110 MB / 3919 MiB (RO)
Disk disk1 - 18 MB / 18 MiB (RO)
Disk disk2 - 15 MB / 14 MiB (RO)
Disk disk3 - 4110 MB / 3919 MiB (RO)
Note: Some disks won't appear unless you're root user.
Disk capacity must be correctly detected for a successful recovery.
If a disk listed above has incorrect size, check HD jumper settings, BIOS
detection, and install the latest OS patches and disk drivers.
I am now trying to find out what the hell i am supose to pick for my memory stick that is plugged to my computer???
I am honestly really lost there :( you got any idea? Maybe i am on the wrong place? Trying my best here on google to scratch my way out of this without much luck :/
I think this is to much for me ;)

Do you have a friend with a PC? I can vouch for the other program..
Other than that, here is my advice:
It's only asking which disk you want to look at, the RO means Read Only (you can't write to it, this is a good thing, it means you can't hurt something).
How big is the flash disk? If it is a 15-20 MB then it's disk1 or disk2, if it is a 4Gb flash, then it's disk3 - It seems that it has two methods for calculating disk space(that's why it repeats), but it also seems the size is calculated as being the same by both methods.. This means that you might be able to use either one, or only one of the two will work..
How to tell which one? Easy, try them. Just save the data to a different disk (HDD?) and then try to read the resulting files, if they work, then you picked the right one, if not, try the other option.
Cheers!

A search for "file recovery software for Mac" at Download.com/Cnet yielded these 46 results. Maybe something there will suit your needs. |

Thanks. Tried it already. This Stellar Phoenix program where SO friendly that they allowed me to download there program totally free and run it on my memory card. then they found all my lost pictures, even showed me a thumbnail of them and offered me to save it on my hard drive :) BUT... when i clicked on the recover save button they threw me on there home page and said i can get them if i pay them 70 $ or something first... What a mood killer that was :( 1 hour for nothing |

I just sent you some info on SanDisk Rescue Pro. Never tried it so I have not idea if it is good or not but I included a code for a free version to try- I got the code when I purchased some of their SD cards. Available for PC or Mac.

I've used it on the PC -- it worked for me. Expect it to (maybe) be a slow process. |

I've used RescuePro for a coworker. It recovered all but around 10 photos from 4gb of corrupted files.
If you're interested, I could send a free software key tomorrow when I go home, as I have several lying around. |

Hello,
To get back all your precious Christmas pictures you will have to perform memory card photo recovery by using Remo Recover (Windows)-Media edition. This recovery tool is very easy to use. You just need to download its free version and check its utility by searching online. All the very best. |

Recently, i discovered a pretty good mac photo recovery freeware, easy to use.
it works well to me, recovering most of the photos on my macbook.
just wanna share it.
since i'm not allowed to put a link here, i think i'll just do this:
