A good member here on dpc sent me a mail and told me about 2 homepages that where using my picture for there own comercial :( One of them has even bin added with alot of text :/

My picture
Can they get away with this???
Is there anything i can do for my legal rights here?
This makes me so angry if they can get away with this...

No they can't, but it's up to you to do something about it. I couldn't understand, but is the BMX thing being advertised in your country? That might make it easier if you all speak the same language. You can give them a call and tell them they have used your picture for commercial purposes without your authorization. It's possible they don't even know (someone else did the work for them). If they are reasonable, they may want to settle with you, if not, you can get a solicitor to sort it out. Depending on how stable the company is probably matters on whether you would get anything. If this is a very small operation, I'd think they might just fold up rather than pay you and open up again as some other name. |

OP is from Iceland... website is from Serbia...
Someone like Zigomar would know more about this, But I remember that Serbia was one of the countries that did nothing to protect copyrights, For example, some years back you could rent a pirated movie in Serbia on a video stores shelf a month or more before that movie would premier in US theaters. No one cared. |
