yup! my 10-22 was Melethia's fault! I'm having a blast with it. I actually have a going in bored with it. It's still very close to , so I don't know if it will stay, but I'm really, really (really) hoping!
ok, had to get rid of my score posting -- it dropped after I posted.

Well today was my wife's birthday and it's time to head to bed but I thought I would give a rundown of today.
Slow relaxing start to the day with some tea and conversation, read the paper and just chill for a spell a little nap for Janet-Lynne and then we were off to getting ready to go for a family brunch with my in-laws.
Janet-Lynne was happy to be out for brunch with her family Mom Carolyne , Dad Lynn , brother Geoff our sons Caleb Isaac and me.
After brunch we went to get our Christmas tree and there were lots and lots and and lots of trees so we looked and looked and looked some more until we found the perfect tree and then "TIMBER" just a little pruning and then they went back to warm up .
When we got home we had some more tea and decided on dinner for mom Chinese and ordered in and sat in our pj's and watched A Christmas Story "You'll shoot your eye out" and finished out the day just sitting around sipping tea and talking as a family while we played some games.
All the best.
MAX!

Thank you guys, I even started a thread for her My Wife's Birthday she was so touched she cried when she saw it.
Sometimes it's the little things that are the best, just like her.

I'm way off the brown on macro - I'm even slightly above 5 right now.
I just got a great brown in urban decay with this multi-shoehorn though:

Are you purposely trying to get brown ribbons, or do you often misunderstand the challenges? lol :) |

ROFL! Like they've never seen moral decay in an urban setting before? I think they're just jealous! |

I'm feeling a bit censored today. My censored came to me earlier last week looking for help so she wouldn't fail her college censored class. censored is not her major, but it was a required course. She had taken some censored for each theme needed, but didn't know how to censored and didn't have all she needed. So basically over a two day period, I picked out what would work for her 9 themes & her final project. Edited the censored according to requirements, and took the censored still needed. I didn't have time to actually teach her anything as the last ditch due date was last Friday, we did this Wednesday and Thursday. Anyway, she called me last night to tell me she got a censored. I'm happy with "my" grade. LOL! But here's the part that's bothering me. They picked two censored to hang in the censored. She said to me "I'm so happy, I've never been in an censored before." But, I took the censored!

Stole another from me, you mean ... ;-)
Maybe we should start tracking "Tan" and "Ecru" ribbons for second and third from the bottom. |

I'm not sure posting this on the internet (where it can be found) is such a good idea. She's going to be in very hot water if ever found-out -- think about what would happen here if one of those shots had won a ribbon ... |

I have about 50 cousins! And I didn't name names, so how would anyone ever figure it out? But maybe you're right. I'll edit it a bit. |

Absolutely - those are assists - thanks, wingman :)
You might have got the point over more effectively with roaches and something pretty unmentionable for them to be crawling around in, but I'd guess that's not something you particularly want to do. Just like my little effort might have been more - uh - comprehensible if I'd pictured a couple of models with no moral standards or pride. Come to think of it, cats are sort of handy like that... |

I gave you guys both 3s.
I have a question......when it comes to voting & commenting, I assume that the entry that is put forth had the intent of being a genuine offering that would fit within the guidelines.
With Paul's, I can sort of see a tenuous tie, but I missed the point of Peter's entirely.
With both of them, I was somewhat frustrated because try as I might, I got nothing in the way of thoughts to tie them in.
Does anyone else run into that with the more outré stuff?

Sometimes, it really depends on how you think. I tend to think out the box. I've been accused of being "quirky" at times. I know my thought process isn't quite the norm. |

You mustn't worry about that, Jeb. I can't speak for Paul, but my effort was very much last minute and shoehorned. Quite apart from that, this challenge was right up your street, so you were right up your street yourself, odd-angled whackos like me don't come straight into focus from there.
You know about thinking outside the box and taking it into consideration when voting. It's the sort of thing that nobody gets all the time - the paths are sort of uncharted by definition. You'd picked this ball up and started running like a train, as your result shows. Congratulations and don't beat yourself up for other stuff. |

I'm not exactly losing any sleep over it.....I know there will always be stuff I don't get, but I wouldn't acuse either of you guys of being either shallow or unthinking in your work.
It's just like the 1x.com site. I doubt very seriously that I'll ever get something published there.......the majority of the work that's there just isn't my genre.
I don't see things in the same manner as what most of the 1x people do.
I had one moody dark thing that I liked, and I actually thought it'd be a possible.....I think it was the quickest rejection in history......it was outta there in under four hours and they wouldn't even tell me why.
Part of what I'm trying to learn now is to better read what people are putting forth.
I make myself comment 100% in every challenge I enter, with the exception of Free Studies. My objective with that is to try and understand how other photogs interpreted the same theme I was shooting. I want to see how others approach an idea.
When I saw the cats, and read the title, I *really* tried, but I just couldn't reconcile two well fed cats with no apparent clues to get me to urban or decay.
The ants were actually understandable, but they just didn't work for me.
