I don't have any experience with them but on my very limited budget I was thinking about getting a cheap set off ebay to play with. Figured that for 10-15 dollars I'm not really loosing out anything by getting a set. I found this set from a seller in Hong Kong. Says it takes about 2 weeks to get to me and the shipping is not too bad.
How does DPC feel about extension tubes and this set?

I use these tubes, so does a friend of mine. They are more commonly referred to as Macro Rings though. Because they turn your lens into a macro lens.
Now, be aware that you lose a ton of control with these rings. The dof is extremely narrow, massively narrow. case in point.
However the nice thing is that you can use your lenses and change the type of macro. I have used my 50mm my 18-55kit, the 70-200 with the rings as well as the 2X extension (canon if you are wondering)
Also you lose any aperture, it goes to 0 basically. Hence the narrow dof. Though if you play around with it enough you will be able to tweak camera angle to capture more of what you want.
Anyway, they are great fun to play with all the same. For Macro Rings. Not lens extensions.

Currently all I own is my kit 18-55 and I was looking for an inexpensive new way to take pictures and learn new techniques. This seems like a winner for me. The only thing I was afraid of is that I have never purchased anything from out of the country on ebay before but the feedback seems positive enough?

I actually have more issue from getting stuff from the US to the US then I do HK. I say the price is low enough for you to lose, there isn't anything to worry about. The people I personally know (irl) have not had any issue getting the rings. But yes, it will give you something to play with and learn with. I say go for it.

I recently bought a reversing ring off of ebay from Hong Kong I think. They said it would take 3 weeks to ship to Canada but it actually took about 6. So I was kind of getting worried I had lost $10. This is what it does Reverse Mounted Lens Macro. But those extension tubes look easier to use so I'd go with them.

I used to hold my kit lens in reverse to do macros. I purchased a reverse ring, but it ended up being the wrong size. The sizes didn't make any sense, so I gave it away in hopes it would find a good home and never looked back. The rings were fantastic and I nolonger have to hold the lense in reverse to get the same effect.

Found this one for $17.00 in California. I may just go with this one.

Senay I know what your talking about. Most of the seller's have good feedback with a few blemishes that are mostly shipping issues. One guy said it took 52 days for his item to arrive.
