I downloaded It Might Get Loud from iTunes the other night because I'm a bit of a U2 fan and I thought it might be interesting to see Edge in the context of some other guitar players. The movie was billed as the story of the electric guitar, but after watching I would say it is about the creative spirit and sheer determination. In fact, the reason I am writing about this on a photography forum is because this movi,e about guitars, was more motivational to me than anything else I can remember. What amazed me is how these artists fought to find their own sound and how that same message could be applied to any photographer searching for their method of expression. The best part of me was at the end when these three very different artists watched each other play and just smiled because they understood what it had taken to arrive at this moment in time. Anyway... maybe somebody else here has seen the movie or is willing to take a chance and watch it.

It's odd but I find that I learn far more about Photography from music, painting or reading about writers than I do from the usual sources. I also need to see that film as soon as possible.
