This isn't intended to turn into anything about
a) paranoid security/military personnel
b) Israeli/Palestinian relations

| Slightly amusing, very troubling. You have to wonder about the story. An announcement to the people in the bldg to ignore gunshots? If you could hear the shot, you would be exposed to the shock wave of any resulting explosion. That part of her story just doesn't pass my smell test. It smells like bovine scat. Interesting story and even more shots of gunned down laptops in links at the comment section. They must shoot a lot of laptops there. :) |

Brings back recent memories, LOL... luckily I was not the individual involved.
I was at a meeting at a naval base in Indiana (yep, go figure IN for a naval base!) and one morning some of our group was uncharacteristically late. We heard a "boom", and about 5 minutes after that, the latecomers arrived. What had happened was they closed off the only road to the building, because they had to blow up a suspicious bag. Apparently someone arrived, set down their briefcase next to their car, and walked away without it. I sure hope it didn't contain anything irreplaceable!
I got a chuckle out of the OP's link... has this young lady not ever heard of a thing called a "backup?" |

One of my school friends had his school bag blown up 20 years ago (suspected IRA bomb).
