Well I have been waiting weeks for this and today it is here. The New Zealand premiere of Peter Jacksons new movie "The Lovely Bones" Is today here in Wellington. Alot of Stars expected to be in town. The weather is absolutely perfect for the event. Temps in the mid to hi 60's A bit of fluffy cloud cover to filter the sunlight a little. Couldn't ask for much more. Got 2 cameras ready to roll. My D-200 with my 80-200 2.8 mounted and my D-300 with my 17-55 2.8 all batteries charged and a flash with a bag full of batteries that will go on the D-300 for a bit of fill light if the clouds roll out and I start getting too much shadow in my photos. This is going to be alot of fun.

Thought about that. Hopefully I will get a few shots that could fit. Should be alot of enthused people hanging around.

It would be funnier if you captured something for the bored challenge instead :p
I emvy you the red carpet! I had a chance on Obama when he was in Norway to receive the peaceprice, but I didn't get there =( And Air Force one magically disapeared after they had left it :-/ |

That probably would have been easier. Apart from the people in this movie no one else walked the Carpet. Rumor has it that Tom Cruise is here filming right now and was going to attend the premiere but chose not to walk the carpet and was snuck into the theater through a side door during all the fanfare. Which sounds like something he would do. I managed to get some "sort of" decent shots of Peter Jackson, Susan Sarandon, Saoirse Ronan and a bunch of other people whom I have no idea who they are. lol I had a great spot to shoot from. Right in front of where they got out of their cars. I will upload a few after I get around to looking at them. Might take awhile I filled up 3 8 gig cards and 1 4 gig.
