Your thoughts mean a great deal to me - thank you all. Team Suck is such a wonderful group of people. It is 9.15am here, I have phoned the hospital and there has been no deterioration in Mum's condition, which is the best I could hope for. Visiting is not til 3.00pm, and so I am going to have to keep myself very busy until then; I suspect my house will end up the tidiest it has ever been! On a happier note, my Aunt, (Mum's sister) who is coming over to visit with me today, should by now be a great grandmother, and somehow that news seems important.

PS Wendy - of course I am still speaking to you - your quick and dirty critique of my FS choices was one of the most useful I ever had - I shall be drawing on your advice again! |

Sara, my father had a stroke a couple years back, it’s amazing how resilient the human brain is. He is just as ornery and active as everâ€Â¦

I love pleasant surprises. Two of the galleries I show at have become places that I enjoy spending time with the people who run & visit them. I also for some strange reason enjoy teking pictures at openings & receptions. I will invariably post them up on their Facebook fan photo page with the caveat that should they not like any of them for any reason, I will pull them upon request.
At the last show, the gallery's GM told me that he liked my images and would I consider forwarding any images I liked from the curent opening directly to him as he was looking for nice images for the site? Naturally, I was delighted to do so, had checked after a week or so and seen nothing, so I promptly forgot about it.
I went here last night to check the date & time of the Holiday Partry, and got a nice surprise.
BTW, on the image at the top, the B&W lake scene on the small wall directly facing the viewer is mine. Pretty darn good locale, IMO.

I have lived in Connecticut, Idaho and other cold climates, and have yet to see anything like this. This all happened last night, notice where the car sat.

Apparently I'm having a 5.77 DPC kinda week. I have two pictures in challenges and both of them are at 5.77.
I am, however, having a very bad cat day. They got their shots this morning and have since thrown up all over every square inch of the house and are both still miserable and basically hiding under furniture until time to throw up again. :-( |

I personally think that cat puke should be classified as a toxic substance and a hazmat team should be dispatched to clean up the mess.
I hate cats when they throw up.......I am a sympathetic puker.

| I will say this is the last time either of them get vaccinations. Thomas has always been allergic, but this is the first time Miss Emma has had a bad reaction. This does mean it will be quite a while before I can return to Europe to live, since the Powers That Be still insist on vaccinations, even if the animal can't have them. :( |
