I'm confused... there should NOT be a horizontal scroll bar in any browser. This is true in FireFox 3.5, Chrome, Safari4, and IE8 on Windows 7. The FFYes and ChromeYes variables were removed from the script, so maybe it's a cache issue? |
See this thread where the ff issue is described. I couldn't replicate it on the profile page, but, for example, open the following page in Firefox;
//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=834288
Then squeeze up the browser - there's no horizontal scrollbar. Now, I don't know if this was the case before the script change you put in.

Ahh, gotcha... fixed. I put overflow: -moz-scrollbars-vertical; in the body style earlier to force the vertical scroll bar to be displayed. I didn't know it had that side effect. |

I think this is how to force vertical scrollbars without hiding the horizontal one;
overflow: -moz-scrollbars-vertical;
overflow-x: auto;
But, no doubt that'll break some other browser. So at this stage....
ETA: Forgot to mention, that fix you put in looks fine now

I have the scrollbars now, and didn't before. FF in Ubuntu 9.04.
EDIT: Fine now.
