Hi... where to get the best deal???? needs to be new because it's for my new business...

I am in Canada, so preferably in Canada, but USA would work too as I believe it's all the same...

Might be hard to come by. Just throwing it out there, without any idea of the size or structure of your business, that if it's a business expense, the amount you spend on it will reduce your ultimate taxes paid. If your business doesn't make money, you'll be in a negative tax owing situation (ie a refund).

CS4 Extended is $475 shipped. Why would you want an older and more expensive version? You won't find it for less (legally) unless you're a student.

What's the differnce between regular and extended?

"shipped"... will they send me the CD in the box? will I get hit with a Brokerage fee at the Canadian border???

(I am a student and have an authentic student lisence... but for business purposes need to upgrade from student lisence to full lisence... I think that the only way to do that is to pretty much just buy a new full version...

Well, it's sort of potluck with these guys. They're legit, but you might not get the entire box. The last time I dealt with them (a few weeks ago), I ordered CS4 retail upgrades and they sent me full versions, but the CD cases only (no box). Hmm... looks like they only ship within the U.S. and Puerto Rico, so it may not matter.

Can't upgrade from a student license? That's only $199 US directly from Adobe.

I don't think you can upgrade from the student lisence... see... student lisence is $200 and upgrade is $200... so that means full version is only $400..

as far as I know you can't do that... BUT let me know if you can =)

ok, I just did a re-calculation...

i'm fine with regular version (and all prices are in US dollars)

so, that's $425+54 = $475 US = about $525 Cdn

so that's not bad... you kinda scare me when you say that they are legit, but I may only get a CD in a case in the mail...

If its for a "Business" suck it up and buy from Adobe, purchase the downloadable version and you are set. Sorry to sound harsh but YOU are going to be making money with it so...

Im also Canadian and I do that for my business with software from Autodesk, Adobe, Sony Media, Chaos Group...

Its all purchased on downloads.

CS4 costs 1,736.73 US dollars in my country. That sucks.

Oops..that's the price for Mac. For windows it's $2,547.48. hahahha
