I have a little insight being involved in this business of geographic data. I can tell you that using just the pictures that some of you have posted here and information in your profiles it's very easy to find many of your homes. The reality is that using information from most of our profiles and simple tools like google and google maps anyone can it narrow it down to a neighborhood or so. Posting pictures with circles around your home just pin-points the exact spot. With it narrowed down that far it's pretty easy to even get pictures of your homes (or nearby spots in your neighborhood) using google street view
Just testing the theory I've been able to find several posted here even when you've blurred or omitted the labels. Just a word of caution, be careful what you post. |
