I was hoping somebody may be able to guide me how to silence the shutter on a 1ds Mark 111. I know I can change the drive mode to "s" but this still makes a noise. Is there any other way to silence the shutter totally.
If the "s" option is the only one, the way I understand it is the mirror does not drop until you lift your finger from the shutter, I am assuming this will not affect your exposure just how quickly you can capture the next image.

the only way to silence it is with a sound blimp. Some sets won't even let you on unless you have one.
They can be rented for like $200 a week, or bought for around $1500, then you can rent them yourself! |
