You can't see the interesting markings on her abdomen much in these shots, unfortunately. Also, these were all handheld in the shade in a less than ideal position sprawled above a juniper bush, so my DoF isn't what I'd like it to be, but I thought they were sorta cool anyway.

Awesome Catch!!! I see lots of spiders but Very rarely have I ever seen one catching something like that! Nice!

Looks like a common Garden Spider (which is a type of Orb Weaver like SS said). We got a zillion of them around here, especially at the end of fall when they are nice and big.
