The second sentence is a fragment, and thus not actually a sentence. The proper forms for the vernacular terms you cite are hyphenated: "knee-jerk", "rule-mongers", although in the case of the second, no hyphen is preferred: "rule mongers" (cf. "fish mongers").

Oh my, a grammar and jargon snob. ;) Welcome back Louis. Good to see you back on DPC.

lmao!

srsly, way to point out the absurdity of the OP's proposition...

First off, obviously no way to tailor comments to the photographer's tastes, second, why would you want to??! It's not just that this is the internet, but in real life too, any type of censorship is detrimental to your growth. Take the bad with the good and learn - ALWAYS be happy someone took the time to in-depth critique your image and glean what you can from even the most disagreeable posts.

Sheesh! Give the guy one measly ribbon and he's all over you about unimportant stuff like blown highlights.

I just looked at all your past challenge entries, Yup the whole wopping 8 of them. You have not recieved any comments from the critque club so not sure what BS you are talking about. I also read all of the comments on your photos and didn't see anything that looked like it was over the top art major wording, I seen a few people give you their honest thoughts about your photography. At the most they are trying to be helpful. You also mentioned in a previous post that you usually say something in the description about the photo, I didn't see anything and even if you did put it in there, The description is not viewable during the voting stage which is when you will get the majority of your comments so anyone who comments before voting ends is not going to be aware of your thoughts on the photo. I think that 9 challenges entered is too soon to be getting upset about the comments, stick around for a few years and then you will actually have a whole pile of comments that are worthy of complaining about.

Well said Louis. Indeed.

I think, in my limited experience here, I've found somewhat of a conundrum. When i click on the button that says I want an in depth critique, all I get is unhelpful BS. And when I load an image I care not about I seem to get an 'in depth crit.'

It makes me question a lot of the users on this site.
