This is so funny and as an added bonus about how I feel about pumpkin pie!

Try making the pie with "solid pack pumpkin" and the appropriate spices instead of that disgusting "pumpkin pie filling", and go 50/50 with pumpkin and roasted, pureed yams. It's a revelation...

No. because Sweet Potato Pie is a molasses base and doesn't use the exotic spicing of the classic pumpkin pie. This *is* a pumpkin pie, it just modifies in a much more interesting direction by the addition of the yams to the filling. And remember, this is Yams, not Sweet Potatoes; they aren't the same thing :-)
