Don't know if this is the correct section to post however it stemmed from the Rainbow challenge.

I took some pictures of a Barbie doll in a store window that had a flowing rainbow colored dress on, then I realized I had never really seen anything like that before here.

I searched as best I could and didn't see an official looking post about use of commercial products. Is is allowed but just frowned upon?

Check out the Beer or Soft Drink challenge...I think you can see it's not frowned upon.

Here's one of my photos using a D-Link cable with the brand name clearly on the cable... and it got first place... so i'd guess it's ok =)

Well now that you told us what your image would be in the rainbow challenge, I would suggest you find another subject. Should never reveal your challenge entry before or during voting of a challenge.
