Hey all
Would like to know what ISO Hi1 would be. As all my other ISOs are 200, 400, 800 and 1600, I am guessing Hi1 would follow the pattern and be double the previous ISO, making it 3200. And yes I checked the manual, and no, there is no indication as to what Hi1 would be.
Does this sound right? |

correct H1 would be 3200 and H2 is 6400 but I think it is only done by internal exposure comp rather than actually being a 'true' 3200 and 6400 setting

Yes, that is correct for my camera, so I would feel safe saying the D40 is the same as the D40x.

| Ok, thanks guys for your input! Just seemed to make sense seeing how all the other ISOs went up. And 3200-ish sounds and looks right for the images I'm getting. |

As far as I know it's 3200 - Out of curiosity, what does the EXIF say for the ISO setting? |

The on-camera EXIF says Hi1. |

Hi!
Found Googling:
The ISO setting H.3 means ISO 1600 plus one third (or 0.3) of a full stop. That works out to ISO 2000.
ISO H.7 is ISO 1600 plus 2/3rds (0.7) of a stop = ISO 2500
ISO H1 is ISO 1600 plus a full stop = ISO 3200.
So I get it's fair to say that Lo1 also works in stops.
