I just went to Pegasus news, a local news site here in the DFW area. The photo in the "today" box at the bottom of the page looked similar to my entry in the 100 years old challenge. A common and heavily photographed location. Oh, it IS my photo! Forgot I had submitted it to the Pegasus news group on Flickr. It was just kind of fun running across my photo without expecting it.

Well, it's certainly neat to find it on some site where you yourself submitted it (i.e. someone didn't "steal" it) -- what a refreshing change of pace.

I once found one of mine on a flyer hanging on the community bulletin board at the local library. I had not submitted it.

Nice photo. Where's the photo credit? or did I miss it somewhere.

I found one of mine in a newspaper ad for a bank a couple years ago. Got a decent check out of it after politely explaining that they really can't just grab stuff off the web to use in an ad... at least not legally.

I didn't see any credit noted, but I did give them permission to use it on their site by posting it to their Flickr group.

I guess I'm approaching celebrity status now, I just noticed this a few lines above my photo, referring to a game we are now running in the DFW metro group: Fun game for photo fanatics: DFW photog and Flickr poster Yo Spiff is running a "What the heck is it" thread. See if you can guess.

Oh yeah, just remembered. I found one in my kids high school newspaper once, too. It had a photo credit under it. It said "Courtesy of Google". Wasn't that so nice of Google to let them use it? I wanted to say something to the school paper advisor, but my daughter pitched a fit, so I just let it go.
