With the recent DQ, I'm a little nervous.
School is closed, so I can't edit like I usually do. I'm editing in DPP, but I don't see an sidecar files. How can I tell if DPP is editing my RAW files or not? When I right-click>info, I don't see anything that has to do with whether or not the file has been edited. |

| If you are not sure. Just make a copy of the original RAW file before you start editing and set it aside. Do all your edits to the copy. Best way to play it safe. |

| RAW files aren't edited. All changes done in DPP or any other RAW converter software are non-distructive. |

That's what I thought until I was reading the tread about the DQ and someone said that there are some programs that do actually edit the RAW file.
Oh well. I'll enter my photo anyway. |

Then Bugzeye's suggestion is the only way to be 100% sure. Don't touch the originals at all. |
