Well I know it hardly compares to watching a guy with a paddle run between 2 sticks for 4 hours, but we like it over here.

Is there any place you can watch the World Series online? I'm in a different country...

MLB on the Web
MLB.com has a link to all the post season games....but it will cost you a bit.

You can get the MLB Post season package, but for some reason I think you can also watch for free at postseason.tv?

I think you're thinking of Cricket, not Rounders ...

Baseball Americana -- an interesting radio program (from Tuesday's broadcast); synopsis:

Host: Michael Krasny

Guest: * Harry Katz, co-author of "Baseball Americana" and former head curator of the Prints and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress

I know. She was insulting our national past time, so I went after one of the more ridiculous of thiers.

But don't worry, we still have 126 overs to score 150 runs with 8 wickets left!!!

There is another book I want to check out: Sixty Feet, Six Inches: A Hall of Fame Pitcher & a Hall of Fame Hitter Talk about How the Game is Played by Bob Gibson and Reggie Jackson

I was listening to RJ on Stern, and it was all too interesting.

You're confused -- our national obsession is greed ... oh, wait, it's practically the same thing these days ... ;-)

Only if you mean the team America loves to hate. Unless of course your from the NY area. (which is were I grew up but then again I was a Mets fan back then).

The Green Bay Packers are Americas Team. Unless you live in Dallas ofcourse.

The Yankees are not really a team, They are a group of overpaid athletes that happen to wear the same colored shirts to work.

False, the Yankees have a core 4, including Posada, Jeter, Petitte, and Rivera, teammates for AGES...

I have a feeling this will go 7. Should be interesting as the series heads to Philly.

My condolences. Have you been to the new Citi Field Memorial Hospital yet?

A.J. Burnett did a great job. He probably could have pitched the whole game.
Martinez was great too, but it looked like resisted being pulled out of the game when he was tired.

There were a couple of close (possibly bad) calls by the umpires, one benefitting the Phillies and the other benefitting the Yankees. Who knows how they ultimately affected the score, or what might have happened?

I'm rooting for the Yankees, but when the NY fans boo the other team, it makes me care a little less for them. Has bad sportsmanship become more prevalent, and is NY worse than other cities in that regard?

I think the booing had a lot to do with Pedro. He's the best villian we've got :) I actually thought it was great how he smiled when he went back to the dugout. You can tell he just feeds off the energy from the crowd.

Yeah, I thought that smile was funny. It showed he understood the crowd.

I think Boston, NY and Philly are the cities most likely to boo the opposing team and players - heck they boo their own players! I have been to pro games in NFL and baseball in other cities and have heard ribbing and some individual name calling at players from other teams, but I don't see it quite as consistent across the crowd as with the three big northeast markets.
