Hello all, I do hope all is well with everyone. I've finally lost another two pounds and I think I'll continue to loose more. It feels like I'm over the weight lose slump.

Hows everyone else doing?

MAX!

Hey Max, good to hear from you! You've been quiet lately. Nice to see you still hanging around!

And it's been two months, two weeks and three days for me - have not smoked over 1800 cigarettes and have saved almost $300.

Of course, I'm down to only two pair of jeans that fit.... :-)

Hey just checking in I'm doing really good on the not smoking it's been seven months and I have saved over a thousand dollars (time to buy new glass) Weight loss is not doing really well but I keep on trying.

I'm not in this one 'cause I don't smoke and I'm at an okay weight, but can we get an update on that chart? It's been three months and I check this thread almost daily ;)

Still quit smoking. It feels so normal now, I don't even bother checking here... sorry for that!

I stopped smoking on Sun, 28 Jun 2009 13:35:00 GMT.
It has been 13 weeks, 4 days, 18 hours, 54 minutes and 32 seconds since I quit.
I have saved $ 528.75 by choosing not to smoke 2203 cigarettes.

Twice in the past two days I've thought "Damn I could really use a cigarette about now!" but other than that, doing pretty good here, too. Except I'm down to only two pair of jeans that fit.... Need to work on that part next, I suppose!

Way to go everyone, I just checked my weight and I have lost another 5lbs. I was a little suspicious because I'm spending more time pulling my pants up then wearing them :)~

How's everyone doing? Almost four months here. I dream I've smoked now and then but it's not at all satisfying. I still love the smell of someone else's burning cigarette. I even looked longingly at the cigarette cartons in the store the other day. But still hanging in there.
10/28/2009 03:08:28 PM · #385
Today is 4 months for me, I realise now! :D

Still no troubles, still the same, still some dreams about smoking, and at some moments I want a smoke but that feeling fades in 3 seconds.
10/30/2009 05:48:12 AM · #386
Did you get your hubby to quit yet, Hanneke?

And how is everyone else doing? Anyone who's gone back to smoking decided it's just better that way? Or are you going to quit again? Anyone else hate those people who smoke 1 cigarette every now and then and can get away with it? :-)
10/30/2009 07:29:52 AM · #387
I went back smoking after 4 months clean...

Definitely this is not a good option, and i am looking forward to quit again...

When I got back, the first cigarretes was delicious... one smoke a day, after a coffe on the evening... very good... but this pace and feeling last just for a week or so... now i am smoking a whole pack daily and feeling tired, stinky and with low self esteem...

I dont recommend to anybody... keep on clean because this is the best option...

I´m planning to stop again until next friday, maybe early on this weekend... we´ll see!

Congrats to everybody and keep on going!!

Well you already know you can do it, so you can do it again! Just throw them out and start over. You'll do fine!

Oh I really hate those people as well (well maybe its really envy). I would love to be able to have one now and then, but it just does not work that way unfortunately. I would be addicted again in no time. I am coming up on 7 months clean in a couple of days.

After 7 weeks of no smokes I went to a family reunion on the beach. First night, my sister, a non-smoker who knew I had quit, asked me how good it would feel to share a cigarette with her on the beach. I told her it would be great, but I couldn't. Later that night she gave my husband money to go get her some cigarettes. That night I caved.

Definitely not better this way. Pretty pissed with myself and I can't breathe... Quitting again really soon. Maybe Monday.

That was SO not very nice of your sister. I'm going to suspect that she's jealous of your accomplishment. Grrr....

Anyway, come join us again. You know you can do it - you did it already - and you know it'll be easier this time because you know what to expect!

Hey I'm coming up on nine months if I was pregnant I'd be having a baby, then I really would have a reason for the weight gain :~). Doing good don't really think of it that much any more. Hang with my smoking friends and don't even want to smoke.

Well hello all, it's nice to hear from our fearless leader no matter how brief it was :) I'm stuck again weight lose but the great thing is I haven't gained any weight back so I'm very

happy. Isaac will be finished filming soon so I'll be able to get back to Judo and that will help. I'm still super careful about what I eat and getting as much exercise as I can fit in between shooting.

I hope all is well with everyone, keep the faith.

MAX!

Had to restart my computer this evening and the little counter came up - 4 months, 4 days, and 17 hours. 3000+ cigarettes not smoked. I have to say that I think 4 months is a particularly nasty point for some reason. Past few days I've REALLY considered that the whole not smoking thing is just not worth it. I think it's because I don't feel magically BETTER!!!! You know, that wholesome "I feel so good about myself! I can breathe! Life is wonderful!!" thing. Mostly I feel tired and cranky and old. That may have nothing to do with smoking or not smoking though. It may just be that I'm tired and cranky and old. But I think tired and cranky and old goes so much better with cigarettes, don't you? :-)

OK, still not smoking. But not as convinced about it as I was two weeks ago.

Hey buddy, sorry for not being active as I used to be, life gets busy and in our case, a bet complicated as well :)

//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=830657

This is partially part of what kept us busy,
Thats said, I am happy you are doing great on both challenges the smoking and the weight loss,
I'll have to work more on the weight loss thing, but regarding smoking .. not a single buff :) and up till now I am still craving it .. like crazy, sometimes when I drive and see someone opening his window just a little, I know he/she are smoking .. still craving like crazy, but no way back ..

I gained something like 8 more pounds (4Kilos), if I continued this way, you wont know from which angle to look at me, but very soon will start working on it .. either this year .. or in a next life time ..
I decided to go with the 90x training program, it is a workout and a diet system at the same time. Hard, but I think this is the only way to gain results :)

Sorry If I am a bet away, but every time you think after finishing this ToDo list you will have time, to find another big ToDo list awaiting you ..

Btw, if ever happened to pass by Montreal, please let me know .. we can always plan something :)

Melethia, I totally understand what you are talking about, it is not fun any more. Always regard people who are smoking outside with an envious eyes, those bastards are having fun, enjoying life to the max and we are suffering, not fun any more .. but I want to share something ..
Last week, one of my friends through a birthday party to his daughter, she is 5 years old, I took my 2 years old daughter to it, and it was made in little entertainment indoor place for Kidd's '' Click for Link ''
I was running like crazy with my daughter, racing her from game to game for almost 2 hours nonstop, remember I have a back problem. My friend who is having the party used to be my smoking buddy, he couldn't keep up for 15 min, and had to rest for 30 min and then go out for a smoke, he thought I was on something that is making me active .. I wish :)
The point is, you might not feel it, but you are much better than before, you wont know it or feel it till you compare it to how you used to be.
Keep up :)

Hey Ameed, good to see you're still going! Those two new little people in your life are probably even more glad you don't smoke anymore!

I'm still riding my bike for exercise and you'd think after all this time it would be getting easier, but I swear it is getting harder. And I swear I've aged about five years in the five months I've quit smoking. Wonder why that is? Joints are shot, suffering from heartburn which I've not had before, still having headaches - you name it. You would think there would be some benefit to the stopping smoking. I have saved a ton of money, so I suppose that's good! On the plus side, I think I only gained a total of about five pounds.

Five months today. Woo hoo.
