Was it that it is something that I cannot see on my monitor (noise or too dark/light as that every monitor is not created equal) or just simply the mood/story failed? I have two comments that might point to where it fell short but I cannot sure that is the (pardon the pun) big picture.

There is a wide berth between the Avg (commenters)and Avg (non-participants)....then again looking at the stats on other challenges I now see that is not unusual. 22-4's and 8-3's ouch!

Anyhow, numbers don't tell me the full story - any others kindly care to tell me what they thought of the photos? What is it that could be improved?

my opinion, as others mentioned the low key effect probably hurt you. the subject matter is kind of cryptic ( title included ). i don't know too many people that - worship - a snow globe, and less that worship one with a dragon inside.

the lighting is OK, but a focused backlight on the globe ( at least in one frame ) might have added enough impact to overcome some of the confusions associated with the images.

Because I wanted to see the entries and have my input on this one. I normally take much more time and expend a lot of effort in commenting. Some others ALWAYS vote that way. |

Been away for a few days - thanks to all responded and left critiques. Thanks to Yo_Spiff for being bluntly honest:-) I have a better rounder 'picture' of how it was received.
