| Hi , I recorded some old movies and tried to down load on my computer and I movie or final cut express will not open them can anyone help me in this they open in a .vob extension |

| heres another question , Can I convert and old family video thru dvd recorder to download to my computer , and edit on I movie or final cut express |

.vob is the native video format stored on DVD's. You will need something that can rip those to a format the other applications can use. Try the open source Handbrake. It's got a pretty good reputation. Available for both Mac and Windoze.
