I just installed a new Wacom Intuos Tablet and then proceeded to update the Wacom driver as they had a new one on their website dated October 20, 2009. After finishing I could not get Lightroom 2.5 to finish loading, it would fail in the opening process. I went into msconfig and disabled the TabletServiceWacom in the service tab and now Lightroom loads just fine.
I'm assuming I have a driver problem and have an e-mail in to Wacom. Any other ideas? |

LOL, yeh, I've been out for a while as well... I wanted to know because I had tried this driver on my Win7 64-bit system, and lost functionality of the tablet (an Intuos 3) entirely. I suspect that the driver may not be playing nice with 64-bit OSes, however that is a suprise since the previous Vista driver works without a hitch (well, except the tablet does not function at the screen where one selects which account to log in under).
FWIW, they do say it is a "release candidate" driver... sure looks like a poor candidate to me!

Have not heard back from them as yet so I guess I'll just switch to the previous driver. Thanks for the input.
