Can anyone recommend a DC or AC/DC monolight? I've been using the vivitar 285hv converted to use a 6 volt 4.5ah battery. They work great and are easy to travel around with.
I want to do something similar with a monolight, without the hassle of using an pure-sinewave inverter. Can the Bowens and photogenic or any other DC/AC capable brand be connected directly to a 12volt lead acid battery?
Also! is it more advantageous to use a standard AC monlight and convert it with an inverter, like the alienbees batterypack?
