I looked around and all of a sudden, all but 1 of my 5 SD cards have vanished... Now, I'm not saying it has anything to do with my 1yr old or 2yr old but they are the main suspects at the moment.. I'm doing a shoot at 10 today so I'll need to grab a few more cards..
Has anyone seen anyone cards on sale ??? We've got the basics here in town.. Bestbuy, Walmart.. ect ect.. I'd like to get an 8gb although I have no idea why.. I've never once run out of room on a 4... |

Fry's always has them on sale for good prices, but it sounds like you probably don't have one of those near you. They had 8 Gb cards for $16 and 16gb cards for $25 yesterday. I bought an extra 2Gb card for $5. At least that gives you some yardstick for what may be a good deal.
My SD cards tend to walk off as well, since every other device we own uses them now. I am always giving them to my wife and daughter and not getting them back. The CF cards stay put, since only my SLR uses them.

Fry's had a Panasonic 8gb sdhc class 10 at $40 during the week. Not sure if it's still on sale. Is there a particular brand or class you are looking for? If you think you will run out of card space you can buy it from a place with a good return policy. Don't open the package unless you really need it, then the return. Look for a better price later.
BestBuy has the Sandisk Ultra II 8gb at $29.99.

LOL.. yeah, I'm not so sure.. I think they simply hadn't found this last one yet since it was actually in the card reader... No Fry's in my next of the woods.. I see that BestBuy has a 8gb on sale for $29.99 but that seems high.. I'm going to just get a 4gb for now |
