I was looking at this blog with BW Shots and then I realized that when I was clicking to view the enlarged version of a shot I was looking to a sepia version of the original! BTW I am using firefox. Never noticed something like this before!
Tried the same with my own BWs and same thing happened! Even if I open the shot with CS3. I am really upset with this!
I am not sure what happens with a color shot.
Could it be sRGB or what else and how may I correct this?

are you saying that you clicked on a b & w image to view the larger version & upon viewing the larger version, it was suddenly sepia, not b & w ????
that link didn't work for me, is it all of the images on that site or just one in particular

Exactly. And it was every image. Even more same thing happens when I opened my own BW with CS3.

Yup. that's what he's saying. In that blog if you click on individual image you get a larger version, and he says it comes up sepia. And that it happens on his own images!
This is a new one on me. I just tried it, and it's not doing that for me, in Firefox.

After further experiment on this it seems that I have the wrong view in CS3.
This is a screen from my browser:
This is a screen-shot from CS3:
I suppose cs3 for some reason transforms the colors of any photo that I open. We are talking for the same File of course!
Any help welcomed be4 I get totally upset, cause I have a challenge to sumbit!

For starters, try changing your image in Photoshop to sRGB and then saving it (Edit->Convert to profile).
Your photo has a yellow tint however; I'm not sure why that is. |

My source profile is sRGB though!
Proof Setup --> Custom --> sRGB
Image-->mode-->RGB color

Are you sure? I don't think the file you have shown is sRGB because it says "RGB/8#" not "RGB/8" |

So it says in PS3. I see it wrongly, but I save it OK! Crazy huh?

You need "edit>convert to profile>sRGB" to get it right.

And the solution came from
www.ask.com
I wonder how many people are facing the same problem. It destroys any JPEG. I did not realized it before I edited a BW image saved for the WEB. Then Firefox, Lightroom, CS3 were showing totally wrong view of the image. Same effect is not that visible on color images. On the contrary that effect was not visible with Opera and ACDC. Unbelievable but true!!
Hope somebody else get helped too through this, cause I got totally crazy trying to find out what was happening and how to fix it!
I really want to thank Bear_Music, Jeger and Kandykarml for trying to help me out! |

Whoa, that's a REALLY useful link. Everyone in here should read it carefully. I have taken the liberty of renaming the link to make it self-explanatory.

We should rename the thread too, even more to create a new one with appropriate title to address in this one! |
