I have a picture that looks distorted.. I'm thinking because I was using a wide angle lens.. She looks long and skinny and I want to increase my background so I can then stretch the image just a touch and make it look correct.. I know how to do this to make someone look a tad bit slimmer, but if I use that same technique, the edge of the photo gets cut off... Anyone have a way to do this... ??? Thanks so much.. going crazy here, I'm sure it's very simple but I'm just not getting it.. |

To "stretch" the image you have to use "Image Size" and not "Canvas Size" ... you'd only need to increase the Canvas Size first if you want to "scale" only part of the image, but not the whole thing.

I have CS4... I use image size all the time, but I do it to reduce it and under constrain proprotions... how do I use it to make an image fatter? |

Uncheck the "constrain proportions" box and increase (or maybe decrease in this case) the size in only one dimension.
