It is!
Donating directly is best, (since there are no PayPal fees that way, but if you prefer to use PayPal you can send the donation to me at paypal [at] clubjuggle dot com. I'll then submit the full amount of the donation to the MS Society, covering any PayPal fees.
Thanks!

Terry - can you occasionally post an update with your total and how close you are to meeting your goal? |

Originally posted by Melethia: Bump on Terry's behalf. A very worthy cause. For those of you who may not have worked with the foundation that sponsors these walks/runs/bike rides, I can assure you through personal experience that they do a top-notch job with the events, AND that the support they provide really does get out to those who need it. While this may support Terry's area - and much of the money does stay local - some does go to the national organization to help out in the grander scheme of things. But for the most part, the money raised provides direct services to folks with MS. It's definitely worth your support if you can swing it. |
Deb, I agree wholeheartedly with your endorsement. For the Challenge Walks, there are only about 10-12 such walks around the country each year. For these events, a significant amount of the money does go toward research. The National MS Society is the largest private (non-government) source of MS research funding in the world. Your donations help make this happen, and, as Deb also mentioned, also provide immediate and much-needed services to people living with MS today.
Thanks,
~Terry

I can! As of right now, you have helped me to raise $1,135. This is over 75% of the minimum walker requirement of $1,500, and 38% of my "reach goal" of $3,000. Thank you all for your support!
If you've already donated (or even if you can't), and especially if you have a personal connection with MS, I encourage you to spread the word to your friends! Please send them a link to this thread and/or my donation page, and include a short note telling them why this is so important to you. Also, if you have MS or know someone who does, please let me know their names, I'll include them on the "I'm walking for..." sign that I pin to my shirt during the walk.
Thanks so much!
~Terry

Terry I have been watching the slideshow on your donation page, but the first slide goes by too fast to read the license plate. What does it say? |

Terry, what is your drop dead cut off date for contributions? I don't get paid until next week and we are on a down to the penny "paycheck to paycheck" budget right now. I will fudge a little next week if that isn't too late. |
