I marked your comment as helpful, but I refuse to read it. I will not be a party to this kind of human experimentation. I will continue to mark your comments as useful without reading them to help throw off whatever wicked statistics you are trying to assemble.

Hi my name is Janine...I too am addicted to the update button and cking my comments (both made and received) obsessively. And while I am at it...I will also admit to cking my Fav's list for picked Photos and Photographer...(I can always hope) |

My comments made/comments helpful totals seem to stay about 200 comments apart, and haven't changed much in that respect for a long while. I see that  Melethia's stats are about the same. It's like no one thought your first 200 comments were helpful, but now that everyone knows you, they check your comments as helpful.
Maybe there should be a "U B Anonymous" link on everyone's profile page here at DPC. : )

In my case, the checkbox was there when I joined. I just make a lot of comments. That represents less than 10%, which ain't bad given some folks never check the box. |

yea, mine are about 3000 apart. a huge chunk of those are before the checkbox existed. |

Comments made by you to your own images, usually in reply to someone else's comment, cannot be marked as "helpful" by you; that's where the discrepancy is. Or that's where it is in my case, anyway.

| Well to beat a poor horse that has already been beaten to death just have a button that says comment read and then have a check box that says helpful not helpful. |
