Hello,

I have a Nikon D90. What would be the best lens to use to shoot high school dance photos? Shots would be set up with a background and likely "bees".

At this point I'm not sure of the distance between camera and subject but would likely be somewhat close 8 - 12 feet give or take. Most shots would likely contain more than two people. Some may have 6-7 kids at once.

Thanks for your help.

Not a Nikon person, but with a well lit room and a flash your 18-70,.If its not so well lit or flash is not a option your 50 with high ISO.

I was thinking the 50 but may be too tight if a big group wants in - so my 18 - 70 may have to be the one.

If I agree to do this it will be "all in". I will have access to some lights/flash.

Thanks for your input.
